Hi Karen,
I was in Auburn today having my haircut and read the Auburn Journal (newspaper) — an article about the Tevis Cup, a 100 mile horse race which will take place this Saturday (like the Western States Run — but with horses and their riders who go from Squaw Valley to Auburn — and try to finish in a 24 hour period). The article described Doug Swingley whose horse is named Ford — and the interesting facts about his winning the Ititarod in 1995, 1999, 2000, and 2001. Presently he lives in Reno, Nevada. Do you know of Doug? You could probably google the Tevis Race — and find out how he successful he was in winning the Tevis with his horse Ford.
I have been enjoying every one of your String of Dogs posts — and all the amazing photos!! Your creativity is amazing!!
I would think you are having a great summer in Martinsdale — I certainly hope you are!!
Love & hugs, Sue
